A message from UT TYLER

The University of Texas at Tyler Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind the campus community of two of the services that are in place for your safety:     SAFE WALK PROGRAM   This is a 24/7/365 service provided to all members of the campus community.  Upon request, a uniformed member of the UT Tyler Police Department will provide escorts to and from parking lots and other on-campus locations.  If for any reason you fear for your safety and would like someone to provide an escort, call our 24-hour dispatch at (903) 566-7300.       EMERGENCY BLUE LIGHT PHONES   Provided at 20 locations throughout campus, the blue light emergency phones provide instant contact with a police dispatcher.  To activate the phone, press the button on the panel.  You will be connected directly with the dispatcher, and the system will advise the dispatcher of the location of the emergency phone.  Use the emergency blue light phones only in cases of emergency.       For information concerning the full range of police services, crime prevention tips, and other safety information visit www.uttyler.edu/police           Mike Medders, Chief of Police The University of Texas at Tyler 3900 University Blvd. Tyler, Texas 75799 (903) 566-7300
