Goodard Enterprises will be on campus this afternoon (9/16) and Friday morning (9/17) to complete the installation of the third site of UT Tyler’s Outdoor Warning System (http://www.uttyler.edu/emergency/ows.html).
They will also be optimizing all sites to ensure that the system can be heard at all points (outdoors) on campus.
There may be several short tests of the system to ensure that all sites are activating properly and that the system will be ready for use during an emergency situation. Tests may consist of voice announcements and tones.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the testing causes minimal disruption.
