The Office of Emergency Management works to mitigate, plan, and prepare for emergencies on the UT Tyler campus, educate the campus community about preparedness, coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts, and collect and disseminate critical information.
The Office of Emergency Management operates the University Operations Center (UOC) which serves as the incident command post during critical incidents on the UT Tyler campus.

UT TYLER TO OPEN AT 10AM
A message from UT TYLER
UT Tyler February 12, 2014. Due to road conditions in parts of East Texas, UT Tyler will have a delayed opening of 10:00 am today. Tyler, Longview, and Palestine are all included in the delayed opening. On a separate note, the Innovation Academy charter schools will not open today.
