The Office of Emergency Management works to mitigate, plan, and prepare for emergencies on the UT Tyler campus, educate the campus community about preparedness, coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts, and collect and disseminate critical information.
The Office of Emergency Management operates the University Operations Center (UOC) which serves as the incident command post during critical incidents on the UT Tyler campus.

UT TYLER CLOSED MONDAY MARCH 3
A message from UT TYLER
Due to deteriorating road conditions, The University of Texas at Tyler, as well as the Longview and Palestine campuses, will be closed on Monday, and all classes are canceled. The University will reopen on Tuesday, March 4 at the regular time.
