The Office of Emergency Management works to mitigate, plan, and prepare for emergencies on the UT Tyler campus, educate the campus community about preparedness, coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts, and collect and disseminate critical information.
The Office of Emergency Management operates the University Operations Center (UOC) which serves as the incident command post during critical incidents on the UT Tyler campus.

PALESTINE CAMPUS CLOSED
A message from UT TYLER
Accident involving a tanker with a chemical spill near the Palestine campus. Loop 256 is blocked near the campus. Do not attempt to travel to the Palestine campus until further notice. Updates will be sent when situation changes.
